ES GIBT KEINEN "FIP-TEST".
Eine ordnungsgemäße Diagnose erfordert eine Vielzahl von Tests, um sowohl die FIP zu bestätigen als auch andere Krankheiten auszuschließen, die ähnliche Symptome aufweisen. Was manchmal (fälschlicherweise) als "FIP-Test" bezeichnet wird, misst die Exposition der Katze gegenüber FCoV. 95 Prozent der Katzen auf der Welt sind-waren FCoV ausgesetzt. Diese Titertests sind NICHT schlüssig. Ein positiver Titer für FCoV zeigt NICHT an, dass die Katze FIP hat.
